1 cup whole-wheat flour
3 tsp baking powder
1 egg
½ cup milk plus 1/2 tsp vinegar to make buttermilk
¼ cup pure maple syrup
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
desired amount of sprinkles

Mix all ingredients together in a medium bowl. Place batter in sturdy ziplock bag and cut one small corner. Pipe batter into donut maker, bake approximately 2 minutes. Frost with colorful icing and top with more sprinkles! Makes a great breakfast both moms and kids will be excited about!
