Slow Cooker Chicken and Rice Casserole

Slow Cooker Chicken and Rice Casserole

This is definitely a family favorite!   Quick, easy and much healthier than your average comfort food.  I hope you enjoy it!!

Here is a close-up of the creamy, bubbling goodness!

3-4 chicken breasts
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 white onion chopped
1 can whole kernel corn (drained)
1 box zatarin's yellow rice (prepared as directed)
1/2 -1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (depending on your preference for cheese)
Place thawed chicken in slow cooker and top with chopped onion and soup; cook on low (6-8 hours) or high (4-6) hours; during last 30 minutes,  shred chicken with a fork; add in rice, corn and cheese and stir until combined.

Family dinner discussion questions:
Between work school, sports, clubs, church and all the other many activities that demand our attention, it is no wonder we at times feel like we are on a treadmill and not really going anywhere.  We are physically present with our family but often we are mentally AWOL!  Dinner discussion questions are a fun, quick way to reconnect as a family and help maintain a healthy dialogue throughout the week, building relationships to help strengthen your family unit.
(let each family member answer each question)

1.)  If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where would you go?
2.). If you could make it "rain" any food like in the movie "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs", what food would you pick?
3.). Say something you admire about the person to your right.
4.).  Finish this sentence......
"I love it when my mom or dad_____________."
5.). Finish this sentence.........
"It makes me sad when_____________."
6.). Name a "Christ-like" quality that you see in the person to your left.
7.). If you could adopt any exotic animal as a pet, what would it be?
8.). Finish this sentence.....
" I wish our family spent more time______________."
9.). If I could have one wish ( excluding wishing for more wishes) I would wish for_________."
10.). Ask the person to your right how you can pray for them this week.
11.) What is one way our family can serve God this week?
