Southern Corn Cakes

3-4 ears of fresh corn (steamed and cut off cob)
1/3 cup milk
1 large egg
tsp of salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup corn meal
1.)  Place half of corn, 1/3 cup milk and egg in food processor or ninja blender and blend until smooth.
2.  In a medium bowl, stir together remaining ingredients.  Mix in pureed corn mixture until combined.
3.)  Heat a skillet on medium low heat and lightly butter.  Using a 1/3 measuring cup, evenly scoop out batter onto skillet and cook both sides just like a pancake.  Serve warm.
