Crockpot Chicken Parmesan

Crockpot Chicken Parmesan
4 chicken breasts
1/2 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
1/4 light Parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg or 3 Tbsp egg beaters
4 slices light mozzarella cheese (optional)
Jar of favorite spaghetti sauce
can of Italian style diced tomatoes (drained)

1.)Beat egg and pour into a pie plate or shallow dish.
2.)Mix bread crumbs and Parmesan in another shallow dish
3.)Dip chicken in egg and then in bread crumb mixture making sure to fully coat each side and place in crockpot.
4.)Repeat with all remaining chicken breasts.
5.)Top each breast with a slice of cheese ( optional)
6.)Cover chicken and cheese with entire jar of marinara and drained can of tomatoes.
7.)Cook on low (5-6 hours) or on high (3-4 hours).
Serve over your favorite whole grain pasta.
