Grandma's Strawberry Pretzel Layer Dessert
 
 




 
Ingredients:
Crust Layer
2 cups crushed pretzels
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup pecans
1/2 cup melted margarine
Cream Cheese Layer
12 oz  fat free cool whip
1 cup sugar
8 oz fat free cream cheese
Strawberry Layer
1 large package of strawberry jello
1 cup boiling water
1 qt frozen strawberries in juice (thawed)
 
Directions:
Spray or grease a 9x13 casserole dish; preheat oven to 350 degrees; in a medium bowl, mix pretzels, 1/2 cup sugar, pecans and margarine well and press onto bottom of dish; bake for 10 minutes; let cool COMPLETELY....seriously, let cool COMPLETELY!!!; beat cream cheese and cup of sugar until blended, mix in cool whip; spread cream cheese mixture over crust; mix jello and cup of boiling water until completely dissolved, stir in thawed strawberries and pour over cream cheese layer; place in fridge for 3-4 hours to set and serve!
