Homemade Granola Bars
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cup rice krispies
2 1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup dried fruit
1/2 cup nuts/seeds
1/4 cup chocolate chips
1 cup crushed pretzels
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup peanut butter
(you can sub "Better 'N Peanut Butter" if you want to lower fat even more)
Directions:
1.) In a large bowl, mix rice krispies, oats, fruit, seeds, pretzels and chocolate chips.
2.) In a medium bowl mix peanut butter, brown sugar, honey, salt and vanilla until smooth.
3.) Pour over dry mix and stir until granola is completely coated.
4.) Pour granola into a lightly sprayed 9x13 pan and flatten well with the back of a greased spatula/ spreader.
5.) Refrigerate well to allow bars to firm.
*bars are best kept refrigerated to keep them firm*
